Hi, I'm Kamryn — a BCBA who built an entire practice around this one thing.
I'm the founder of Whole Self Behavior Consulting, and I specialize in one thing: helping caregivers of autistic and IDD kids navigate puberty and healthy sexuality with clarity, confidence, and the right clinical tools.
Whole Self exists because the standard sex-ed playbook wasn't written for your child — and caregivers have been left to translate it themselves, alone, without the training to do it. Sexual Behavior Analysis for autistic and IDD individuals isn't a side service here. It's the entire focus of this practice.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst, specializing in Sexual Behavior Analysis
I work specifically at the intersection of applied behavior analysis and sexuality education for autistic and IDD individuals — a niche that barely existed as a named specialty when I started, and one that families are often surprised to learn exists at all.
Before founding Whole Self, I spent a year at home with my own daughter. That time didn't pull me away from this work — it clarified exactly why it matters. Caregivers don't need another generic resource. They need someone who has sat with the actual, specific, sometimes-awkward, always-important questions that come up in real homes, and who can translate clinical strategy into something usable on a Tuesday night.
My approach is behavior-analytic: clear, observable, skill-based. Not vague values talk, not avoidance, not a single script that's supposed to work for every kid. Strategies built around how your child actually communicates, learns, and engages with the world.
Education & field history
M.S. Applied Behavior Analysis — Lipscomb University, 2022
Graduate training in behavior analysis with fieldwork supervision focused on teenage and adult populations with severe problem behavior — including sexuality-related behaviors. This is where the clinical foundation for this specialty was built.
B.S. International Relations — Loyola Marymount University, 2019
Undergraduate foundation in systems thinking, cross-cultural communication, and advocacy — all of which show up in how this work is approached with families from diverse backgrounds.
Over a decade in disability-related fields
Work in disability services began well before ABA certification — building a foundation of real-world experience that no graduate program alone provides. Applied behavior analysis practice began in 2020, with BCBA certification through the BACB earned in 2023.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst
BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Sexual Behavior Analysis specialty
Focused practice at the intersection of ABA and sexuality education for autistic and IDD individuals.
CBS Candidate — Certified Behavioral Sexologist Program
Currently completing advanced training in the first behavior-analytic credentialing program of its kind, developed by CEUs by Study Notes ABA & Empowered: A Center for Sexuality. The CBS program requires CEU coursework, a supervised practicum, and an in-person Sexuality-focused Experiences Evaluation — all designed to develop genuine competency in Sexual Behavior Analysis, not just familiarity with it. This training is deepening both the breadth and clinical rigor of this practice.
Clinical rigor. Zero judgment. Practical guidance you can use this week.
-
Behavior-analytic, not generic. Every strategy is grounded in applied behavior analysis — observable, teachable, and adapted to how your child actually communicates and learns. Not a script written for someone else's kid.
-
Caregiver-centered. You're the expert on your child. My job is to give you tools, language, and confidence — not to replace what you already know about your family.
-
Neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ affirming. This work meets every child and family where they are, without assumptions about who they are or who they'll become.
-
Proactive, not reactive. The goal is always to prepare before the moment feels urgent — so your child has what they need, when they need it, from the people they trust most.
